The Israeli army announced that Mehdi Rostami Shamestani, a high-ranking official of the Iranian intelligence ministry, was also killed in an airstrike on Tehran.

The Israeli army referred to Mehdi Rostami Shamestani in the intelligence ministry as "a key figure in carrying out operations against Israeli citizens and Jews in Israel and abroad".
For this reason, the Israeli side had been searching for Mehdi Rostami Shamestani for a long time.
The Iranian authorities have not yet confirmed the information.
