Within the scope of the "narcotics" investigation targeting celebrities by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a detention order has been issued for 16 people.
Modern.az reports, citing local media, that 14 people, including former Beşiktaş president Fikret Orman and former Galatasaray president Burak Elmas, have been taken into police custody.
It has been learned that within the scope of the investigation, an arrest warrant has been issued for 16 people, including Hakan Sabancı, Kerim Sabancı, actress Hande Erçel, model Didem Soydan, and presenter Güzide Duran. Although 14 people were detained in the simultaneous operation, a search warrant has been issued for two more individuals.
Within the same investigation in which former Habertürk editor-in-chief Mehmet Akif Ersoy was arrested, Fenerbahçe president Sadettin Saran was also detained; he was later released under judicial control and a travel ban.
