Iran expects the members of the UN Security Council, especially Russia and China, to take a firm stance against the actions of the US and Israel.
Modern.az reports that Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated this during a phone conversation with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi.
According to him, Tehran expects the international community, especially the permanent members of the UN Security Council, to adopt a clear and principled position regarding the events concerning Iran.
In response, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi noted that dialogue should be chosen instead of confrontation. He stated that this approach is in the interests of both Iran and the international community.
Wang Yi added that China will maintain its objective and impartial stance, oppose the violation of other countries' sovereignty, and support the establishment of peace and a ceasefire in the region.
It should be noted that earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin had declared that his country would remain a reliable partner for Iran.
