New allegations have emerged regarding military cooperation between Russia and Iran.

Modern.az reports that, according to the Financial Times, after the initial strikes by the US and Israel on Iran, Moscow secretly began discussing the supply of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to Tehran.
According to the information, two sources stated that preparations for the drone shipments began in early March and this process was planned to be completed by the end of the month.

A representative from Western security circles noted that it is not yet precisely known which specific drone models Russia will provide to Iran. However, it is assumed that Moscow could transfer models such as the “Geran-2”. These drones are reportedly based on the Iranian-made “Shahed-136”.

Experts, however, believe that Iran's primary need is not to increase the number of existing drones, but to acquire systems with more modern technologies.
