The head of the Mongolian government, Gombojavyn Zandanshatar, has submitted an application for his dismissal from office.
Modern.az reports that his chief secretary, Yangugiyin Sodbaatar, provided information on this matter.
"Today, at the meeting of the Council of the Mongolian People's Party, the socio-economic situation in the country in connection with the global situation and problems related to the suspension of parliamentary activity were discussed. At the meeting, Prime Minister Gombojavyn Zandanshatar submitted his resignation application on his own initiative," he said.
The Council accepted Zandanshatar's resignation application. The party's faction will discuss this issue in accordance with the law.
"The decision will be submitted for discussion by parliamentary committees and deputies at the plenary session," Sodbaatar added. (TASS)
