Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a phone conversation today with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian.

The parties held extensive discussions regarding the ongoing military operations and peace efforts in the region.
“The Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan's strong condemnation of Israel's ongoing attacks against Iran, including the recent attacks on civilian infrastructure yesterday. He reaffirmed Pakistan's solidarity and support for the people of Iran during this difficult period,” the statement noted.
Shehbaz Sharif informed the Iranian President about Pakistan's ongoing diplomatic facilitation efforts aimed at cooperating with the US, Gulf, and Islamic countries to create a conducive environment for peace talks.
“He informed the Iranian President about Pakistan's firm support for the peace initiative and expressed hope that a joint path would be found to end hostilities,” it was emphasized.
