Another deadly attack against journalists has been recorded in Southern Lebanon.

Modern.az reports, citing foreign media, that two journalists and one cameraman were killed as a result of an airstrike on a car near the city of Jezzine, located in the south of the country.

According to the information, during the attack, Ali Shoeib, a correspondent for “Al-Manar” TV channel, Fatima Futuni, a correspondent for “Al-Mayadeen” TV channel, and the cameraman accompanying them lost their lives. Both channels confirmed the deaths of their employees. “Al-Mayadeen” described the incident as “a sudden Israeli attack.”

Military sources report that the strike directly hit the car carrying the journalists. According to local media, the deceased cameraman was Fatima Futuni's brother and was with them during the filming.

The incident is considered part of the large-scale attacks carried out in southern Lebanon since the morning hours. The Israeli army has not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident.

Thus, in recent hours, military tension has further increased in several regions of the country, with airstrikes and artillery fire continuing.

According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Shoeib operated in the intelligence unit of the “Radwan” force and also worked as a journalist for the “Al-Manar” TV channel, which is affiliated with “Hezbollah.”

According to the latest information from the Lebanese Ministry of Health, 1142 people have died and over 3000 people have been injured as a result of attacks continuing since March 2.

Amidst ongoing attacks and clashes, warnings are increasing about the further deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the country. It is reported that the wave of displacement is expanding and casualties are rising, particularly in the southern regions and the southern suburbs of the capital Beirut.
