The first units of the 82nd Airborne Division, one of the elite military formations of the US, have arrived in the Middle East.
Modern.az reports that the “Reuters” agency disseminated information about this.
It was stated that the forces sent to the region are of an advance party nature. Their composition includes the 1st Brigade Combat Team – “Devil Brigade”, as well as staff officers, communication, and logistics units.
According to the information, the military personnel have not yet been given specific tasks. However, their deployment to the region occurs against the backdrop of reports regarding a possible ground operation in Iranian territory.
It should be noted that it was previously announced that more than 3,000 US Marines had been sent to the region.
