Several Persian Gulf countries – led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) – are calling on the US to continue military operations against Iran.

Modern.az reports that the "Associated Press" agency disseminated information on this matter, citing unnamed officials from the US, Israel, and Gulf countries.

According to the information, representatives from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain stated in closed talks that they want US-Israeli military operations to continue until a radical change occurs in the Iranian leadership or a significant shift in its political course.

The agency notes that the Gulf countries have different approaches to the conflict: Saudi Arabia and the UAE adopt a tougher and more military-oriented stance, while Oman and Qatar prefer a diplomatic solution.

On February 28, the US and Israel launched military operations against Iran. Strikes were carried out on Iran's largest cities, including the capital Tehran. In response, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that it had carried out a large-scale operation and launched strikes on Israeli territory.

Additionally, US military facilities in Bahrain, Jordan, Iraq, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia were also subjected to attacks.

The Iranian authorities also decided to close the Strait of Hormuz for vessels associated with the US, Israel, and countries supporting operations against Iran. During the conflict, several tankers attempting to pass through the strait without Tehran's permission were attacked.

On March 25, Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated that Iran has allowed passage through the Strait of Hormuz for friendly countries – Russia, India, Iraq, China, and Pakistan.
