Ron DeSantis, Governor of Florida, USA, has signed a bill regarding the renaming of Palm Beach International Airport in honor of Donald Trump.
Modern.az reports that, according to the document, the airport's name will be changed to “President Donald J. Trump International Airport” after the completion of relevant procedures.
For the decision to come into force, approval must be granted by the Federal Aviation Administration. Furthermore, the change will become official after agreement with local governing bodies.
This step is regarded as a continuation of the tradition in the USA of naming public facilities after political figures and former presidents. At the same time, it is not excluded that the decision may cause various reactions within the country.
