Washington does not rule out any option, including the deployment of ground troops in a war with Iran.
Modern.az, citing foreign media, reports that this was stated by US Secretary of War Pit Hegset.
Hegset said at a press conference:
"We will not rule out any option. If you tell the enemy what you want to do and what you don't want to do, including the deployment of ground troops, you cannot fight and win. The main thing is to be unpredictable and not to let anyone know what you want to do and what you don't want to do."
According to Pit Hegset, US President Donald Trump is ready to reach an agreement with Iran, and the Tehran authorities are aware of his conditions.
"If Iran is wise enough, it will reach an agreement," the Pentagon chief stated at the briefing.
