In Russia-annexed Crimea, the number of fatalities has reached 30 as a result of the crash of an An-26 military transport aircraft.
Modern.az reports that, according to a statement from the Russian Investigative Committee, during the incident on March 31, there were 30 people on board the aircraft – 27 passengers and 3 crew members.
Previously, the Russian Ministry of Defense had stated that there were 29 people on board the aircraft.
Regarding the incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 351 of the Criminal Code (violation of flight rules).
According to information, the aircraft crashed into a rock.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that there was no external impact on the aircraft.
