The Metsamor Nuclear Power Plant has ceased its operations for a period of five months, starting from April 1.
Modern.az reports that David Khudatyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia, announced this at a government meeting.
This decision was made as part of the program to extend the NPP's lifespan: "Most likely, our solar power plants will produce as much electricity in 2026 as the nuclear power plant will produce".
