Turkey plans to conduct tests of air-launched ballistic missiles in 2026.
Modern.az reports that Murat İkinci, General Manager of Turkey's “Roketsan” company, announced this.
According to him, large-scale tests of a series of new missile systems will be conducted during 2026, and at the same time, the serial production of these systems is planned to commence.
It should be recalled that last year, Turkey introduced its first hypersonic ballistic missile, TAYFUN BLOK-4.
The missile is 10 meters long and weighs 7,200 kilograms. It is the longest-range (3,000 kilometers) system of the Turkish defense industry. The missile, produced by “Roketsan”, is designed to destroy strategic targets such as air defense systems, command and control centers, and military facilities. These missiles are superior to Iranian-made ballistic missiles in terms of key components.
