Following the resignation of U.S. Army Chief of Staff General Randy George, two more high-ranking military officers were forced to retire.

Modern.az reports that foreign media has disseminated information about this.

According to the information, War Secretary Pete Hegseth relieved General David M. Hodne, commander of the Army Transformation and Training Command, and William Green, Chief of Army Chaplains, of their duties.

According to foreign media reports, since Pete Hegseth's arrival at the Pentagon - after January 2025 - 12 generals have been forced into early retirement. Among the most notable cases are the dismissal of General Charles Q. Brown (former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff), Admiral Lisa Franchetti (Chief of Naval Operations), and several female and African-American generals.

Critics have described these actions as politicizing the army and creating an atmosphere of fear in the Pentagon. The U.S. Army has not yet issued a full official statement, but internal sources report anger and frustration among high-ranking officers.
