Iranian authorities have allowed ships carrying humanitarian aid and essential goods to pass through the Strait of Hormuz towards the country's ports.

Modern.az reports that this information is reflected in a letter addressed to Iran's Ports and Maritime Organization by Humən Fəthi, head of the Trade Development Department of Iran's Ministry of Agriculture.

The letter states that regarding the aforementioned issue, the Iranian government and Armed Forces have announced their consent.

It was stated that it concerns, in particular, ships carrying essential goods and feed supplies.

The letter notes that for ships located in the Gulf of Oman or moving towards Iran, the necessary obligations for their passage based on protocols and which ships will pass through the Strait of Hormuz have been specified.
