According to information disseminated by Armenian sources, the Russian leadership concluded a few weeks ago that it was not expedient to continue relations with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

Modern.az reports that, according to claims, Moscow believes that the policy Pashinyan implements in Yerevan differs from the promises he made in the Russian capital, and that this contradicts Russia-Armenia relations.

The information states that, for this reason, it is claimed that the heads of key state structures in Russia have been instructed to increase efforts for political forces aiming to restore relations with Russia within Armenia to come to power.

It is also noted that while some circles within the Armenian government strive to strengthen anti-Russian sentiment in the country, they simultaneously attempt to maintain ties with Moscow.

According to claims, during the recent visit to Moscow, Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan initially attempted to meet with the Kremlin's curator for Armenia, Sergey Kiriyenko, but this did not materialize. It is further reported that Pashinyan also tried to arrange such a meeting, but no result was achieved.
