At least 45 people have died and 105 people have sustained injuries of varying degrees in Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province as a result of torrential rains that began on March 25 and related incidents.
Modern.az reports that Geo TV channel disseminated information on this matter, citing local authorities.
According to the Provincial Emergency Management Authority, the main cause of deaths and injuries among the region's residents was the collapse of buildings whose foundations were washed away by strong water currents. A total of 442 residential buildings were damaged, 60 of which were completely destroyed as a result of the natural disaster.
