Iran will not comply with Trump's ultimatum and will not open the Strait of Hormuz.

Modern.az reports that, according to “The Wall Street Journal”, Iran will not surrender to US President Donald Trump's demand to open the Strait of Hormuz, which will expire on April 8 at 5:00 AM Baku time.

It was noted that Trump had set a deadline twice for an agreement with Iran, stating that if Tehran did not comply with the demand, more terrible blows would be inflicted on the country.

"Now, as everyone from US Vice President J.D. Vance to high-ranking intelligence officials in the Middle East works towards the final step – a ceasefire – Iranian officials are telling mediators that they expect the same situation to repeat," the journal writes.

Meanwhile, the "Axios" portal reported that US President Donald Trump may once again postpone his decision to strike Iran's civilian infrastructure and energy facilities.

Earlier, the American leader had threatened Iran with "bridges and power plants," demanding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz so that Iranians would not "live in hell." Tehran had stated that it would respond decisively if Washington carried out its threats.

"If the president sees progress towards an agreement, he may postpone the strikes," "Axios" wrote.
