US President Donald Trump has issued a strong statement regarding Iran.
Modern.az reports that in a message he shared on his Truth Social social media platform account, he stated that the situation has reached a critical point.
Trump noted that events that could unfold tonight could lead to serious consequences:
“Tonight, an entire civilization could disappear and it will not be possible to bring it back. I do not want this to happen, but it appears that it will.
Tonight could be one of the most important moments in world history. After a complete and decisive regime change occurs, smarter and less radical forces could come to the forefront. This could result in a truly revolutionary and beautiful change – who knows? We will see this tonight.”
The US President added that the processes that have continued for many years in Iran could come to an end:
“47 years of oppression, corruption, and death may finally come to an end. May God protect the great people of Iran.”
Trump's statement coincides with a time when tensions in the region are further escalating.
