Russia may have provided intelligence support to Iran.
Modern.az reports that this is stated in a confidential report by Ukrainian intelligence, which Reuters agency has reviewed.
According to the document, Russian satellites conducted dozens of detailed surveys related to military facilities and critical infrastructure in the Middle East. It is alleged that this information was used by Iran to strike US forces and other targets.
The report notes that in March, Russian satellites conducted at least 24 observation series in 11 countries of the region. A total of 46 objects were recorded. These include military bases, airports, oil fields, as well as facilities belonging to the US and its allies.
The document highlights as a notable point that a few days after these observations, the same targets were struck by Iran with missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Furthermore, the report suggests that Russian and Iranian hackers also cooperate in cyberspace.
