Modern.az reports that this was stated by political analyst Elxan Şahinoğlu, commenting on the “US-Iran ceasefire”.
“Although each side tried to claim victory, neither the US and Israel planted their flag in Tehran, nor did Iran plant its flag in the capitals of these countries. As a result of the war, the US and Israel set Iran back years in uranium enrichment, struck its military industry, destroyed bridges and production facilities, but the regime, despite heavy losses, remained standing. If before the war the Iranian economy was facing terrible inflation and shop owners had risen in protest, then eliminating the severe consequences of the war and solving social problems has become even more difficult. It is problematic whether China, Iran's closest partner, will invest in this country. Because Beijing has no guarantee that Iran will not face a new war. Indeed, it is difficult to say that the war has ended. A pause has been taken. The ceasefire is fragile. In this world, even signed agreements are not fulfilled, let alone for the parties to adhere to a ceasefire...”
