Ali Akbar Velayati, the Advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader on International Affairs, commented on his country's ceasefire agreement with the US.
Modern.az reports that Velayati wrote on the “X” platform: “The US was forced to accept the ceasefire; this is a reality that indicates a clear strategic defeat.”
Ali Akbar Velayati added that the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran are at the highest level of readiness, as they were on the first day, and will give a decisive and deterrent response to any miscalculation regarding the violation of the ceasefire by the “Hebrew-Arab-American front.”
Velayati emphasized: “Amidst a new world order and a movement towards a multipolar system, Iran is no longer just a country, but acts as the center of the Islamic pole.”
Ali Akbar Velayati served as Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1981 to 1997.
