After the ceasefire reached between Iran and the US, shipping companies are trying to gain clarity regarding the details of the agreement.

Modern.az reports that “Bloomberg” disseminated information on this matter.

According to the information, some shipowners welcomed the ceasefire optimistically. For example, the Japanese Shipowners' Association stated that a decision would be made after the details of the agreement are clarified.

However, most sector representatives warn that more clarity is needed for the full resumption of shipping activities.

Currently, more than 800 vessels remain in the Strait of Hormuz. A large portion of them carry energy carriers. Specifically, 426 tankers transport crude oil and refined fuel, 34 vessels carry liquefied hydrocarbon gas, and 19 tankers transport liquefied natural gas. The remaining vessels operate with dry cargo.
