Arman Sahakyan, former chairman of the State Property Management Committee of Armenia and a member of the Republican Party, has been detained.
Modern.az reports that the Anti-Corruption Committee released information on this matter.
It was reported that within the framework of criminal cases investigated by the Anti-Corruption Committee, several individuals, including the former chairman of the State Property Management Committee and other former high-ranking officials, have been detained on charges of committing crimes under various articles of the Criminal Code of Armenia.
The committee has not provided additional information regarding the preliminary investigation.
It should be noted that the leader of the Republican Party, of which Arman Sahakyan is a member, is former president Serzh Sargsyan. Sargsyan became active before the June 7 elections and began a new struggle for power.
