Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze awarded the rank of colonel to Mamuka Mdinaradze, head of the State Security Service.
According to Modern.az, this is already the sixth military rank awarded by Kobakhidze to Mdinaradze since his appointment to that position.
The chronology of this rapid career advancement, which occurred in a short period, is as follows:
September 3, 2025 – lieutenant,
October 23, 2025 – senior lieutenant,
December 25, 2025 – captain,
December 26, 2025 – major,
April 10, 2026 – lieutenant colonel,
and finally, colonel.
Thus, Mdinaradze, in a record short period, rose from the rank of lieutenant to colonel.
