In Russia, the restoration of Soviet-era children's and youth organizations is proposed.
Modern.az reports that Mikhail Matveyev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma's Committee on Regional Policy, proposed the reintroduction of the Soviet education system – the Octobrists, Pioneers, and Komsomol.
According to him, this model was a comprehensive and beneficial system in terms of forming values in young people.
“I would bring this system back. If someone does not want to restore it in its exact previous form – for example, with an Octobrist badge depicting Lenin, an alternative option can be considered. The Pioneer organization, however, is an already established movement. It can be fully restored with its name and red tie”, – Matveyev stated.
