Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is keeping the situation in the country under control and has personally decided to end the war with the US-Israel coalition.
Modern.az reports that this was stated to TASS by Abdul Majid Hakim Ilahi, the Supreme Leader's spokesperson in India.
"He feels very well, everything is under his control. He comes to his office, receives officials, the president, and a parliamentary representative, and they hold meetings. The ceasefire decision was his," Ilahi emphasized.
US President Donald Trump announced a two-week mutual ceasefire with Iran on April 8. He stated that the two sides have agreed on almost all outstanding issues, and Washington is considering Tehran's 10-point proposals as a "working basis" for future negotiations.
The US leader stated that the decision was made based on Iran's desire to open the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran, in turn, agreed to cease "defensive attacks" provided no strikes are launched against the Islamic Republic. Pakistan's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, who mediated between the two sides, invited them to talks on April 10. According to Iranian state television, the talks are expected to be direct.
