US intelligence has reported that China plans to send new air defense systems to Iran in the coming weeks.
Modern.az reports with reference to CNN that three sources involved in the intelligence assessment provided this information.
It was noted that this step poses a threat to the US, given that China mediated the ceasefire, and emphasized that Iran used the ceasefire to update certain weapon systems with the help of foreign countries. According to the report, China plans to send anti-aircraft systems called MANPADS to Iran, which pose a threat to low-flying US aircraft during wartime.
