A critical meeting is being held in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, with the aim of normalizing relations and achieving peace between the United States and Iran. Modern.az reports that high-ranking officials representing all three countries are participating in the talks:

US Delegation:

The United States is accompanied by a delegation represented at the vice-presidential level in these talks:

JD Vance – Vice President

Steve Witkoff – Special Envoy

Jared Kushner – Former Presidential Advisor

Brad Cooper – Commander of Central Command (CENTCOM)

 

Iranian Delegation:

Tehran is represented by official representatives and the leadership of the diplomatic corps:

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf – Parliament Speaker

Abbas Araghchi – Minister of Foreign Affairs

Majid Takht-Ravanchi – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs 

Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr – Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council

 

Pakistan (Host and Mediator):

The Pakistani side supports the process at both government and military leadership levels:

Shehbaz Sharif – Prime Minister

Asim Munir – Chief of Army Staff

Ishaq Dar – Minister of Foreign Affairs

Muhammad Asim Malik – National Security Advisor

Note: The main purpose of the meeting is to reduce tension in the region and restore direct dialogue between the two countries.
