Only 2 countries have financially supported the Peace Council, established at the initiative of US President Donald Trump.

Modern.az reports that, according to Reuters, only the UAE and Morocco have done so out of the 9 countries that were reported to allocate funds to the organization.

The Peace Council has less than $1 billion, which makes it difficult to achieve its stated goal of providing post-war support to the Gaza Strip. According to Reuters, Peace Council spokesman Nikolay Mladenov told Palestinian humanitarian organizations that "there is no money at the moment."

After the first meeting of the Peace Council in February, Trump announced that member countries had allocated $7 billion for the Gaza Strip. The United States was to allocate an additional $10 billion, and the UN $2 billion. These funds were to be directed to the financing of the National Committee for Gaza Governance (NCAG), which was to be managed by the Peace Council, which was planned to hand over control of the region after Hamas's disarmament. However, according to Reuters, due to lack of funds, NCAG never started its work.

The Peace Council denies any financial shortages or limitations in this regard.
