In talks in Islamabad, the US side failed to gain the trust of the Iranian delegation.
Modern.az reports, citing "Tasnim" Agency, that this was stated by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, who led the Iranian delegation in Islamabad.
“Before the talks, I emphasized that we have good intentions and the necessary will, but due to the experience of the previous two wars, we do not trust the other side. My colleagues in the Iranian delegation put forward 168 forward-looking initiatives, but the other side ultimately failed to gain the trust of the Iranian delegation in this round of talks. The US understood our logic and principles and must now make a decision. We always value diplomacy, along with military struggle, as another means to ensure the rights of the Iranian people, and we will not stop our efforts for a moment to strengthen the 40-day national defense achievements of the Iranian people. We highly appreciate the efforts of friendly and brotherly Pakistan in facilitating the negotiation process,” Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf noted.
