3 Azerbaijani youths have been detained in Georgia's Gardabani district.
Modern.az reports that serious accusations have been brought against the 30-year-old "groom" who abducted a girl with the aim of marriage, and his accomplices, aged between 29 and 34.
Specifically, a criminal case has been opened against the "groom" concerning the abducted 20-year-old girl, not only for kidnapping but also on charges of rape.
According to local investigators, the girl was forcibly put into a car and taken to a village in Gardabani municipality, where she was held captive. Although the police pursued the abductors, they were unable to prevent the assault.
Long-term prison sentences await those detained.
