21-year-old Talysh rapper Amir Mehdi Rajabi (Benqard) from Astara city, Iran, was arrested for a period of four days for participating in protests.
Modern.az reports, citing local media, that during the arrest, the young man was brutally beaten and threatened by security forces.
The rapper was forced to sign a false confession under pressure regarding burning a bank and preparing Molotov cocktails. During his detention, Rajabi was forbidden from contacting his family and lawyer.
The musician was released only after swearing an oath to refrain from any opposition activities against the ruling regime.
