On February 6, regarding the fact that a teacher was injured by a student firing a firearm in one of the schools located in the Binagadi district of the capital, a criminal case has been initiated at the Binagadi District Prosecutor's Office under the relevant article of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and a preliminary investigation is being conducted.
Regarding this, the Press Service of the General Prosecutor's Office stated in response to an inquiry from Modern.az that the student suspected of committing the incident was apprehended by the prosecutor's office.
Currently, employees of the prosecutor's office are conducting an inspection of the crime scene, as well as carrying out necessary procedural actions to clarify the circumstances and causes of the incident.
Timely first aid has been provided to the injured person, and they have been hospitalized and are receiving treatment from the relevant medical institution.
