An accident occurred on the Baku–Guba road.
Modern.az reports, citing the Main State Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, that on April 1, around 06:00, a “Bentley” brand car was moving on the Baku–Guba road when the driver lost control, and the vehicle crashed into the metal barriers on the side of the road. As a result of the accident, the driver was injured: "According to preliminary assumptions, the cause of the incident was the high-speed driving of the vehicle. Thus, the car, having lost control, overturned multiple times and skidded for approximately 500 meters. In such serious incidents, if a seat belt is not used, the driver or passengers are either thrown out of the car due to the impact, get trapped under the vehicle, or collide with the steering wheel, windshield, and other hard parts inside the cabin, which in most cases results in death. However, in this particular incident, the seat belt played a protective role, keeping the driver stable in the seat and saving his life.
For this reason, using a seat belt and requiring everyone in the vehicle to do so is not just a rule; it is an indicator of the value a person places on their own life, family, and loved ones.
We once again appeal to drivers and passengers to fasten their seat belts from the very first moment they sit behind the wheel. Short distances, low speeds, or the thought of “nothing will happen” should not deter anyone from adhering to the rules. Because rules exist to protect human life".
