The Quba-Qonaqkənd road has been closed due to a landslide.
Modern.az reports that as a result of the landslide at the 42nd kilometer of the road, transport links with 25 settlements belonging to four administrative territorial districts have been cut off.
Tariyel Ibrahimov, Deputy Head of the Quba District Executive Power, informed AZERTAC's regional correspondent that approximately one kilometer of the road has been completely destroyed by the landslide, rendering it impassable. Additionally, gas and communication lines in the area have been damaged. The landslide process, which began this morning, is still ongoing. Over 11,000 residents live in the villages where transport links have been severed.
Representatives of the Quba Emergency Situations Commission and other relevant state agencies have been involved in the area.
