Mudslides and landslides caused by heavy rains in recent days in the village of Aydinkand, Guba region, have led to serious consequences.
Modern.az reports that several residential houses were damaged in the village, located approximately 40 kilometers from the district center.
Cracks appeared in the walls of the houses, and some roofs became unusable.
It is reported that in the mountainous village, the upper layers of the soil have slid towards residential areas. Extensive landslides are observed in the village, and the process is currently ongoing.
As a result of the landslide, the road to Aydinkand remained closed to traffic for several days, which made it difficult for residents to connect with the district center.
Residents state that the village's location in a dangerous area puts their lives at risk. According to them, during active landslides, large stones and rock fragments, as well as soil masses, break off from the mountains and move towards residential houses, creating a serious danger.
It is noted that the territory of Aydinkand village is generally prone to landslides, and a landslide that occurred a few days ago on the Guba-Gonagkend road also affected the area.
Currently, representatives of relevant institutions and equipment have been involved in the area, and measures to eliminate the consequences and restore the road are continuing. (APA)
