AFFA has paid compensation to Fernando Santos, the former head coach of the Azerbaijan national team.
Modern.az reports that AFFA Secretary General Jahangir Farajullayev informed journalists about this.
Although he did not disclose the amount of compensation, he stated that all conditions stipulated in the contract were fulfilled by the federation.
Although AFFA has not officially disclosed this amount, according to "Qafqazinfo", Santos was paid 1 million 800 thousand euros (3 million 700 thousand manats) in compensation.
It should be recalled that Fernando Santos was dismissed on the 8th of last month. The contract signed with him was terminated prematurely.
Santos had been appointed head coach of the Azerbaijan national team in June 2024.
