The US Embassy congratulated Azerbaijani footballer Nariman Akhundzada on signing a contract with the 'Columbus Crew' club, representing the US state of Ohio.
Modern.az reports that the embassy published a congratulatory message on its social media account regarding the contract the footballer signed with the 'Columbus Crew club'.
It was stated that the talented young forward, whose performances for 'Qarabağ' gained admiration, is the first Azerbaijani footballer to sign a contract with the US Major League Soccer (MLS) league.
'At the same time, we wish the 'Qarabağ' club success and a confident victory in tonight's Champions League match!' - was noted in the embassy's message.
