Antalya and its famous tourism region Alanya will host the Alanya Ultra Trail race, which will be held on March 27–28.
Modern.az reports that athletes from various countries around the world will participate in this international mountain running race, organized on routes stretching between the sunny Turkish Riviera and the Taurus Mountains.
The race, held since 2017 and recognized by the International Trail Running Association (ITRA), has already become one of the prestigious sporting events with hundreds of athletes participating from 34 countries.
The race will take place under the slogan “Tradition to Trail” (“From Tradition to Trail”) and will be held with the support of the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency and the Turkish Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The event offers participants not only a sporting competition but also an opportunity to discover the natural and historical beauties of the region. The running routes stretch along ancient migration paths, passing by historical sites such as Alanya Castle, Alanya Shipyard, and the Red Tower, with the finish line located at the famous Cleopatra Beach.
The race consists of several distances for participants of various fitness levels: Alanya Ultra Trail (68 km), Taurus Mountain Trail (42 km), Keykubat Mountain Run (27 km) Cleopatra Short Trail (18 km) and Alanya Castle Run (5 km).
Antalya and Alanya, located on the Mediterranean coast, are known for their rich historical heritage, magnificent nature, and famous beaches. These features transform the Alanya Ultra Trail race into a unique international event that brings together sports, tourism, and adventure.
