The Iranian government has decided that various sports clubs, including national sports teams, will not participate in events held in countries considered unfriendly.
Modern.az reports that Iran's Ministry of Sports and Youth has issued a statement regarding this.
"National teams, as well as club teams, will not participate in sports events held in unfriendly countries, or in countries that cannot ensure the safety of Iranian athletes," the statement said.
The Ministry has not provided detailed information regarding which countries are considered unfriendly.
