The European Cup among juniors in judo has started in Ganja.
Modern.az reports that 269 judokas (180 boys, 89 girls) from 10 countries are participating in the international competition organized at the Ganja Sports Palace.
On the first day of the tournament, boys compete in the 50, 55, 60, 66 kilogram weight categories, and girls in the 40, 44, 48, and 52 kilogram weight categories.
In the European Cup, judokas from Belarus, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Portugal, Tajikistan, Turkey, and the United States of America, alongside our country, are testing their strength in 16 weight categories. Azerbaijan, hosting a similar competition for the fourth time, is represented by 127 athletes in the tournament.
It should be noted that the European Cup, which will take place at the Ganja Sports Palace, will conclude on April 5.
