In January of this year, 228 contracts were formalized within the framework of the rent-to-own mechanism.
Modern.az reports that Aslan Zeynalov, Deputy Director of the Rental Housing Department of the Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund, stated this.
According to him, the number of people renting housing from the state this year is expected to be higher compared to last year.
"The rental housing mechanism is intended for improving the housing conditions of citizens who do not have sufficient personal savings. Today, interest in this mechanism is very high. We can see this in the number of applications and formalizations. To date, 9,298 apartments have been rented to citizens. Last year alone, the number of rental contracts was 2,813. This is several times higher than in previous years. This gives us reason to say that interest in the mechanism is increasing year by year," the Fund official added.
