Districts and cities with the highest deposits in national currency have been announced.
Modern.az reports that the ranking of regions by the volume of funds held by the population and entrepreneurs in banks in manats (national currency) has been determined.
Baku city leads the list with absolute dominance. The volume of deposits placed in national currency in the capital amounted to 9 billion 799.4 million manats.
The industrial city of Sumgayit is in second place. The volume of funds invested in national currency in banks here was 337.3 million manats.
Ganja city ranked third with an indicator of 217.7 million manats. It is followed by Absheron district, adjacent to the capital – 183.7 million manats.
Khachmaz district (79.6 million manats) from the northern region is in fifth place on the list.
Lankaran district, representing the southern region, comes in sixth place – 70.7 million manats.
Nakhchivan city ranked seventh with a deposit portfolio of 64.3 million manats. Mingachevir city is in eighth place – 55.8 million manats.
Barda district (46 million manats) is in ninth place on the list. Guba district (42.3 million manats) completes the top ten districts with the highest manat deposits. (Fed.az)
