The reconstruction of railways in the Nakhchivan AR is being continued.
Modern.az reports, citing ADY, that the first phase of design and construction works, which began in late last year, covers the Salamməlik, Ordubad, Aza, and Julfa sections.
This railway network, by connecting to the TRIPP route in the border area of Ordubad district with Armenia, will be part of a new regional transport connection starting with the Zangezur corridor.
