Oil prices have risen after Iran's new supreme leader declared that the Strait of Hormuz must remain closed.
Modern.az reports that the price of Brent crude oil exceeded 100 dollars per barrel for the first time since August 2022.
The price of Brent crude oil increased by 9.2% to 100.46 dollars per barrel, while the price of US "West Texas Intermediate" crude oil increased by 9.7% to 95.73 dollars per barrel.
