US authorities do not prevent Iranian oil tankers from passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
Modern.az reports that US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated this in an interview with CNBC.
"Iranian ships are already departing, and we have allowed this to supply the rest of the world. We believe there will be a natural gap where the Iranians will withdraw their ships, and for now, this is normal for us. We want the world to be well supplied [with oil]."
Mr. Bessent also noted that some Chinese ships also manage to pass through the gulf.
