In January-February of this year, Azerbaijan exported 3,132 tons of pomegranates worth 2 million 686 thousand US dollars.
Modern.az reports that the State Customs Committee disseminated information on this matter.
It was stated that this is 683.55 thousand dollars (20.3%) less in terms of value and 714 tons (18.6%) less in terms of volume compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting period, revenue from pomegranate exports constituted a minor share of Azerbaijan's export revenues.
It should be noted that in January-February of this year, Azerbaijan conducted trade operations with foreign countries worth 6 billion 264 million US dollars. Of the foreign trade turnover, 3 billion 665 million US dollars accounted for exports, and 2 billion 599 million US dollars accounted for imports. In the last 1 year, exports decreased by 23.1%, and imports decreased by 37.2%.
