Changes have been made to the rules for the use of funds, fines, and payments obtained in the field of customs affairs.
According to information from Modern.az, this is reflected in the law on amendments to the Customs Code.
Specifically, 93 percent of the funds obtained from the sale of goods and vehicles transferred to state ownership, fines, customs duties, and fees (funds), based on court decisions in cases concerning crimes discovered in the field of customs affairs and administrative offenses against customs regulations by customs authorities, are transferred to the account of the relevant executive authority.
According to the new law, these funds, by being transferred to the state budget, will be spent on providing an addition to the monthly official salaries of employees with special ranks and civilian staff of the relevant executive authority (excluding the head of the relevant executive authority and their deputies).
Previously, the exception mentioned above was not stipulated in the Customs Code.
